Never have liked the 5.56/.223. So, it's about time DoD Gave the troops a gun that can reach out. The .270 has been around a while and proven itself a capable round.

Maybe once the AR is replaced, civilians will back off and find something else to ban.

So in 75 years, we've literally come full circle. We left the .30-06 behind for more rounds down range at shorter distances to now a 6.8mm for firepower and longer distance engagement. Yay team.
