When visiting the Truman Library several years back with WWII Veterans of the battle of the Bulge that were scheduled to be in on the invasion seeing them write thank you note to Truman in the visitors log for making the decisions he did make…it would have been possible but I’m sure glad we saved the lives both Japanese and American that we did…

I'm with all y'all. Those who blame Truman for starting the nuclear arms race by using the bombs forget that everybody was going flat out to acquire them. Mankind will continue to seek to gain an advantage over others as long us there are two humans still drawing breath. . . .
