Teachers who are volunteers and trained to shoot should be the first line of defense in schools

I honestly think school buildings should be the first defense. Controlled access, metal detectors etc.

For those who advocate for armed teachers, please remember this incident from 2014…

We need armed staff or officers at every school.

My kid's middle school was the subject of a threat of being shot up yesterday. I didn't find out until I was dropping them off.

School police don’t stop mass shooters (Parkland, Uvalde, Columbine, etc.). The officers sometimes arrest K-12 students for non-violent incidents instead of just sending to principals office.

LTC Eugene Chu Okay. Now your peddling bull puckey.

The Columbine resource officer and the sheriff's deputy weren't inside the building when the shooting started and they never went inside. The SRO wasn't wearing his prescription lenses when he engaged one of the shooters from 60 yards away.

Parkland's officer was a coward and never entered the building.

Uvalde didn't have an officer on campus.

Pearl High school in Mississippi had an armed teacher (a reserve MP) who stopped the shooting there.
