Typical progressive logic Chip - "It's bad when someone else does what we do. How dare someone listen to an opinion or argument that's not approved by the far-left!"
It's notable that a study of the Amicus Briefs from 2010 through 2020 showed that the two Justices that relied the most on Amicus briefs were Ginsburg and Kagan. Alito came in 7th in the comparison.
Another swing and a miss Chip.

SFC John D. Funny I don't recall this guy saying anything when Ginsberg said she looked to foreign and international law when determining Constitutionality. But the she was one of Politico's and the progressive darlings.

..."Writing, "the court’s disclosure rules for amicus rules are laughably weak. The brief need not disclose who funded a brief; it need disclose only that it wasn’t funded by one of the parties before the court," he added, "if the court is going to chastise lower courts for relying too heavily on amici, it should also look in the mirror."
