So we've gone from field hat to Brodie to protect the top of our heads. From Brodie to M1 to protect our heads down past our ears. From M1 to PASGT to protect our heads better and to enable us to hear more. From PASGT to MICH so we could attach things. And now we are at our ears exposed again. Full circle in a century.

So now they have to be battle-tested Brother Dale. I wonder where that will be? And just think, the enemy will have the exact same thing.

I remember my old steel pot (with helmet liner) had many extra uses, besides of course protecting my pumpkin head from harm,great for banging in tent pegs,or boiling paddy water,anything that needed pounding from insects to the wooden crates on the fire bases we visited occasionally,best by far a dry seat in the rainy season (see monsoon for further explanation) Welcome Home Brothers.

PO3 Edward Riddle- Lucky for me,(can’t believe I said that) no Most of my tour was in the Central Highlands, Kotum Province ,did run into some guys who served in the Delta after I returned home,wouldn’t have liked that at all ,too much water for this old grunt,Be well Brother.
