One might assume, then, that a Trump-led Republican Party will continue to struggle for as long as it repels college-educated white voters and independents.
Yet Donald Trump isn't struggling. On the contrary: He's been leading President Biden for months. Independents have returned to Trump's column (though they don't seem happy about it). Trump's gains among non-college-educated, nonwhite voters have compensated for his continued problems with college-educated white voters.
This is a remarkable development. As recently as a few years ago, one might have been skeptical toward claims that educational attainment and ideology were becoming more significant than ethnicity and race. Such incredulity is no longer warranted. The realignment isn't just real. It's accelerating.

As an Independent voter, I am not happy with Trump, but he's a whole lot better than another 4 years of Sleepy Joe. I felt the same way the first time though.

SPC Lyle Montgomery I strongly concur especially if you put their accomplishments side by side and compare the two. As far as Trump is concerned, other than personal traits or characteristics and looking at him purely from the position of running our Country, there is very little to dislike. Joe, on the other hand, has done nothing but ruin our Country! No one person is perfect in every respect so pick the one that best fits our Country's needs and get behind him 100% or get to love Joe and the loss of everything we fought for.

You know I have always been around different folks, some I got along with, some not so mush, but You just learn to adjust, ya know, at least the folks that You don't like, knows you don't care for them & they try to stay away, in OBIDENS CAVE, an AMERICAN just don't get that choice, because your costs on everything that You buy is up your back side, & they will TAX the hell out of you just because, & they(OBIDEN) hates AMERKICANS, Does a hammer have to hit us in the head to drive that freaking point home, ???
