I've seen a bunch of these types of communities springing up nationwide. One makes use of a former ICBM missile field in the Midwest with deeply buried shelters housing several hundred people. Each has to pay a good bit to get into the group, and they have a list of desired skill sets. Getting in without a particular desired skill costs more, I think about $500K. But the shelter holds RV's as well as "cabins" and guarantees 25 years of support. I'm interested as well in billionaires building shelters in remote places, some even buying private islands. Wonder what is prompting this?
