Cpl Vic Burk - Exxon Valdez ran aground on a reef and the Captain was mildly drunk. The officer of the watch and the Captain both got it for that mess as I recall.

Amn Roger Omberg - The Exxon oil tanker in this incident ran aground on a reef in the harbor of Valdez Alaska. Terrible accident, many thousands of gallons of oil were spilled into the water.

Now I remember, My wife was employed by EXXON, back in the late 1990,s till 2011, & She had mentioned that tragic experience several times. The Corp was NOT happy with the command crew on that ship!
