Pretty much.
Thousands gathered to protests.
Dozens acted like idiots and got arrested.
Thousands could have kept dozens from acting like idiots, but they were too busy filming on their phones, posting or watching the live feeds on their phones,

Want to bet you'd need a SWAT team to get into that TV station?
The Al Shottlkoty incident in Cincinnati, decades ago change the concept of studio security after he was held at gunpoilt on a live bewscast. There is a wilipedia article about him, which has the details. I lived in the area when that happened.

And It Would Be A Great Idea To Give Trump A Good SWAT Or 2.

Another bad choice for Trump, adding to the chaos and endangering more people.

To whomsoever on the admin side removed my previous response to SrA Monette. I'm going to keep responding in the same manner until I get an explanation as to why my comment was scrubbed or you close my profile. I am, as ever, well within the RP terms of use.

This is not Disney's hunchback of Notre Dame. This is not a theocracy. With the exception of a foreign embassy or consulate within US borders, one cannot run into some place screaming "Sanctuary! SANTUARY!!!" and be exempted from lawful apprehension and the consequences of criminal misconduct.
ICE and federal law enforcement are targeting a specific profile:
Illegal aliens and unlawful residents with the following filters applied:
_Felons
_Criminals with a record of violent misdemeanors, predatory sexual misconduct, or conduct that presents a public safety hazard
_Criminals with a record of fraud, theft and misrepresentation
_Those with ties to or who have supported terrorist organizations
That fits a profile that the reliably right does not want in the US. That is the profile we want removed sooner rather than later. Is that a profile that you believe should remain in the US?
Farther down on the list of priorities of removal are the illegal aliens and unlawful residents who are associates, friends and family of the above profile. Finally, we should remove the illegal aliens and unlawful residents who are not here legally.
If you are speaking for the reliably left, you've got a long row to hoe before you will convince me that we want any of the top two tiers in the US. You have a somewhat shorter row to hoe on the third tier, but when did the qualifications for residency in the US become:
_Disregard of our entry laws,
_Disregard of our laws on legally remaining in the US as a foreigner
_Presence within the US borders.
The media uproar and reliably left hyperbole serves the purpose of the reliably right. It sends our message to those on the way or considering illegal entry or unlawful residency, "Don't." That some of the third tier will inevitably get picked up in the effort to remove the top tier, sooner rather than later, also serves the purpose of the reliably right. It would be irresponsible and poor fiduciary responsibility to the US taxpayer to release them within our borders, rather than deport them.
The third tier should figure out that they best avoid the top two tiers and the conduct that puts them in the top two tiers for removal. isolating the top two tiers will make them easier to pick up and remove. Better yet, they should self-deport, get in line and wait their turn.

ICE said in a statement that the troops were providing security at federal facilities and protecting federal officers “who are out on daily enforcement operations.” The change moves troops closer to engaging in law enforcement actions like deportations as Trump has promised as part of the administration’s immigration crackdown. The Guard has the authority to temporarily detain people who attack officers but any arrests ultimately would be made by law enforcement.
Newsom said Trump’s immigration crackdown has gone well beyond arresting criminals and that “dishwashers, gardeners, day laborers and seamstresses" are among those being detained. He said Trump’s decision to deploy the California National Guard without his support should be a warning to other states.
California may be FIRST — but it clearly WON'T END HERE” Newsom said.
Newsom earlier Tuesday asked a federal court to block the Trump administration from using the National Guard and Marines to assist with immigration raids in Los Angeles, saying it would only heighten tensions and promote civil unrest. He filed the emergency request after Trump ordered the deployment to LA of roughly 4,000 National Guard troops and 700 Marines to the city.

A1C Medrick "Rick" DeVaney - The illegal aliens and unlawful resident parents of children born in the US have options.
_Be deported and take their children with them. The children could then return on their own once they reach the age of majority.
_Arrange for someone in the US legally to become the appointed guardian of the child. The parents would then be deported.
_Surrender their parental rights. The children would then be wards of the state available for adoption or placed into foster care.
Children are not "get out of jail free" passes.
"Newsom said Trump’s immigration crackdown has gone well beyond arresting criminals and that “dishwashers, gardeners, day laborers and seamstresses" are among those being detained." Their occupation does not matter. If they are in the US in violation of law. They are subject to deportation. If they have been apprehended, it is foolishness to release them. Why do the same thing (apprehension) twice. Once they are back in their home country they can serve as a precautionary tale for those thinking of immigrating to the US illegally.

And if the Jan 6ers had followed the kind of advice she is giving now, none of them would have faced charges or convictions.

You don't find it the least bit hypocritical? Were there violent J6'ers? Yep, and no conservative condoned the violence.
This woman, who worked and had zero problems putting J6'ers behind bars is giving advice on how to keep from being arrested for these riots.
She's a political hack. Nothing more, nothing less.
