More deception on raising money that never goes to the actual victims but instead to special interest groups. This it seems is far to often the case.

Lt Col Charlie Brown - True, and the Red Cross and Salvation Army are two groups Who actually respond to Emergency scenes themselves to render aid. I've seen them both first hand through MY over 40 years Police Service and also over 40 years of Civil Air Patrol Emergency Services.

Way to many organizations like that. Homework is a necessity before any donations.

SUGGESTION: Before Giving A Charitable Buck, Check On Their Reputation Through The Better Business Bureau ~ And Ask What Percentage Of Your Donation Actually Goes For The Purpose Of Your Donation.~ Not Sucked-Up In "Administrati0on Costs" ~ Follow The Money ~

Very true as an example of good is the Salvation Army where 95% actually goes to the cause and not the organization. They are not in it for the money but to actually help. That sure isn't true of many other organizations.

At One Time In Our Much Younger Years While Living In Detroit, Our Mom Was Raising 6 Kids On Her Own And We Had To Count On The Salvation Army For Some Of Our Food & Clothing; Eventually Our Oldest Brother Became Quite Wealthy And Wrote Annual Checks To The Salvation Army In The Amounts Somewhere Around $10,000 For Being Helpful To Us. ~
