He's questioning the integrity of the Marine Corps. The Corps doesn't do anything to fail. Instead of PowerPoint and discussion, they put it to the test and got data. He didn't direct that the Marines stand-down when it was initiated because he figured it would validate his declaration. So far it hasn't fallen in line with what he hoped and now he's lashing out. I find it hard to believe that Marines would sabotage anything that would have the potential to improve the institution. If it's a no-go, they'll look at it and try again. If that fails, they'll move on...unless he directs differently. Regardless, the Corps will find a way to make it work or prove with out a doubt it's not feasible.

There are two types of people that understand the Marines. The enemy and the Marines. All else is hearsay. It is a paraphrased quote, I know, and I can't even remember who said it. But I agree with the Congressman. I don't particularly care for SecNav Mabus, and I don't think that he has a clue as to what infantry is.
