That is sad but not unexpected news SFC Joe S. Davis Jr., MSM, DSL. We all realize from experience that the Federal government is slow to move when it comes to adding causality for diseases or injury as a result of government service whether in the military or not.
It tends to take a long times for investigations to take place which will result into updating the list of military=service-connected disease and injury causes. Agent orange and Gulf War Syndrome took a long time to be added. The most important issue with the burn pit issue is modifying the use of open burn pits to stop the problem.
Hopefully those veterans who have succumbed to diseases and diseases because of their exposure to burn pits will be covered and treated a soon as practical. I hope and pray that those doing research will find remedial therapies to help those veterans whoa re afflicted.

Thanks for Sharing. My husband needs to definitely be on that registry. He was in several places in Afghanistan where they had open burn pits, even when KBR was given expensive machines that were never used.
