I have often commented here on RP and on other social media encouraging people to consider entrepreneurship as an alternative to traditional employment to earn a living. I was an entrepreneur from the age of 16 until I retired at age 66. In my case, it was a matter of necessity. I was simply too "creative" to work for someone else, and I know there are others like me. Also, creating your own job is often a necessity when jobs are in short supply. However, government interference has grown more onerous in the decade since I retired, and I often wonder now how I might survive under today's oppressive government oversight.
