Thanks for reminding us TSgt Joe C. of the days when the USA was young and fur trapping was a risky yet profitable occupation for this who survived the hardships and Indian attacks.
In those days, Missouri was on the border of the western frontier. the I=the decades to come, Kansas and Nebraska were brought into the USA after one was declared a slave state and the other a free state. Within ten years of the passage of the Kansas Nebraska Act of 1854 the Civil War broke out in 1861.
