King admitted his crimes but asked for forgiveness, saying he had a caseload of 250 veterans and failed to check on schools.
Bet he didn't fail to check on the money posting to his account.
His claim that he was just doing as others have done speaks volumes. SESs and Secretaries will retire, then reappear as "consultants," or sit on boards awarded contracts to fix what was broke under their leadership.
Need to make mandatory sentences of no less than 20 years for each count for all Federal employee fraud and contractors, and seize everything they own.
Uncertain how the Veterans could be denied having their benefits reset when the court has essentially found them victims of fraud. Violates the advocacate position the VA should hold, versus the adversarial relationship. An employee of the VA willfully and deliberately scammed them as well as the VA. Guess they are left to attempt civil suits against the schools and VA employee, but would suggest the VA OGC would oppose any civil suit fervently.

MCPO Roger Collins - The system gets their money back eventually at least, but the veterans get nothing, even though the benefits they used are being paid back
by those that committed the fraud.Sounds about right.

Those people should be fired, charged be made to repay the money. Personally, my opinion is they should be charged not only at the federal level, but the state as well. These were positions of trust and Veterans deserve better treatment than this. I am so pissed off by such people who take advantage of money designated for Veterans for their own personal gains.
