President Ronald Regain had the conviction, strength and stamina not to compromise with the communist USSR which resulted in its collapse from the inside.
We compromised far too much in the Indochina wars - Vietnam, Cambodia and Laos were all used by the enemy yet we tended to hogtie our forces and put them at risk when we operated under the naïve assumption that you could compromise with Hồ Chí Minh.
