Thanks for sharing the silent war video of the Battle of the Somme which was fought from Jul 1, 1916 to Nov 18, 1916. My paternal grandfather's war records were destroyed in the Battle of Britain in WWII when the war registry holing enlisted records from the Great war was largely burned.
I expect he may have been involved in that campaign as a lance corporal.
