Thank you my friend TSgt Joe C. for reminding us that Canada’s transcontinental railway completed a remote spot called Craigellachie in the mountains of British Columbia, the last spike is driven into Canada’s first transcontinental railway on November 7, 1885.

The building of the Canadian Pacific Railway (C.P.R.) was fundamental in bringing the nation of Canada together. Find out more by watching this Telling Times short documentary.
