Speaker of the House when I joined the Navy. I don't remember him but I was probably more concerned about how not to get cycled again by my CC or how to Pass Basic Typing so I wasn't sent to the Fleet as an Undesignated Seaman to spend the rest of my life Chipping Paint.

There are worst jobs on board ship besides chipping paint ie cleaning up after a bunch of guys were sea sick and lost their cookies which happened just about every day when I was on board the USS Fremont in the Caribbean and we hit some rough weather off Cuba and Florida.

Sgt Tom Cunnally - You have a very valid point Sarge! I don't care how cool you think you are everybody gets sea sick at some point. We had a Ships Serviceman on the California that would get Sea Sick when we cast off the lines in Homeport (They gave him a Medical Discharge) I was the other extreme 30ft+ Breakers seems to be my Breaking point. If I'm Sea Sick the rest of the crew is already there. When CTO1 is Chumming, you're in some rough water.
