Great photo. I've had a long love affair with this aircraft even though never flown in it.

Lt Col John (Jack) Christensen - While in Kuwait on the way to Qatar for a 3 day pass, I took a picture of an AC-130 being towed right by me 50 meters away. I was happy to see this. The reinforced concrete hangars were damaged from the first gulf war and some aircraft, I can't remember, were housed in them. I may have a digital copy but I do have prints somewhere. I did find a pictures B-1B, of F and EF-111 at Mountain Home I took with my ancient cell phone back in 2003.

Great photo gallery. I flew FB-111s and B-1s so seeing pictures of them is great. Flew FBs in and out of Mt Home many times but never went anywhere with the BONE. Heck, they were grounded during the first gulf war.

I'm glad you liked my pictures. It was a lucky guess that you were at Mountain Home as well. I just wanted to check it out since I was over at Boise because I joined the Idaho National Guard. We did two weeks of training and then we had a week off before we were mobilized on the 4th of July 2004. We then spent three and a half months first in White Sands, then Fort Bliss and then finally at Fort Polk Louisiana before being kept at Alexandria at the old Air Force Base where they gave us two weeks off because they weren't ready to ship this out and I went back home to California. We then flew out to Kuwait the day after Thanksgiving and they sent us to Kuwait or we stayed there until the middle of December. I think I got to kirkuk, Iraq in or around the 25th of December and then the 26 is when they had that tsunami from the earthquake. I remember seeing that on the TV screens inside the dining facilities.

We've certainly come a long way since the AC-47 Spooky!
