While the ceremony was tasteless to post on SM, the punishments and destruction that followed was uncalled for, this is all cover your ass actions which only to serve as examples of why troops and leaders leave. This should have been handled much better but the damage is done and the collateral damage will last for some time. LOR's would have been more than sufficient and actually served as a warning but Toxic leadership wins again. Nobody wants to take a round for their troops anymore.

I agree 100% with you 1st Sergeant Hicks, it was tasteless and shouldn't have been posted but the punishment was excessive and uncalled for. It is My opinion that the Adjutant General did display a level of toxic leadership and it makes Me question His value to the force. A verbal reprimand or written at the most would have been fine if He felt something had to be done but the level of reasonableness was so far exceeded it was disgusting !

I would assume taking the oath is either one of or the most "serious," thing(s) you can do in the military. Speaking from an Army perspective, whenever the brigade commander (Colonel) is in the building or around, all joking stops, period!!! Maybe I'm reading too much into this but for me, if you're going to take the oath, you're going to do it right and not disrespect it in anyway.

I’d agree, but people have taken it in various disrespectful places. One guy even dressed as a stormtrooper. They’re the victim of bad publicity.

Let this be a lesson to all. Don’t post crap videos on social media even if you think your settings are “private”.

Don't know what to say to that, but shouldn't have allowed the puppet.
