Death of the last survivor of the USS Arizona Pearl Harbor attack.
One of the most impacting days in our nations past is officially history with the passing of its last hero Joe Langdell.
It now lies upon our shoulders to keep the history alive and telling the story to our children.
How serious do we take passing history of our fight for freedoms and are they fading due to the constant inundation of Islamic news...everyday, every hour?
Is it our responsibility or are we simply holding on to glory days to becasue these days are so much the opposite?

Time marches on, unfortunately.
On another forum, someone had asked the question about revamping the US Currency (we keep changing it).
My response is that we shouldn't have People on the currency at all. We should have events. Things we want to remember, or more specifically things we never want to forget.
Take the $2 for instance. It has the signing of the Declaration on it's obverse. I think that's a great start. I'd put the Civil War (possibly Gettysburg) on the $5. Landing of the Moon on the $20. Hallmarks of achievement, Remembrances of tragedy.
Just my take.
