Just as the mother of the Navy Seal killed in Benghazi had a perfect right to say whatever she wanted to about the death of her son, so too does this father have a right to say whatever he wants to about the death of his. Both political parties try to make hay out of these situations.....and that's the shame, in my opinion. Give the families the space to grieve in their own way.

Everyone's head is in the wrong area here. It's not the president you should be berating, or questioning what's going on. Each of us have a duty to follow orders and directives given to us, if we like who is in office or not. My thoughts and emotions are with my brother in arms' family. If you are the praying type (I am not) pray for the family. Remember that this soldier was following his duty and gave the ultimate sacrifice to his country. Bickering about rights and wrongs of the what the president did is irrelevant.

Remember though, someone has to be the fall guy. Always. As a team leader your blamed for your troops actions, as a squad leader your blamed for your team leaders failing their troops when they screw up. On and on and on it goes. I'm not defending Trump, I'm neutral in this. All I'm saying is quit focusing on the politics and focus on our brother's family who needs our support. If something happens to this officer to negatively impact his career( I.e. A demotion, kicked out, barred from reenlistment, etc.) then become vocal. Right now it's typical politics. Find a fall guy, blame fall guy to make yourself look better. Be the hero. End of story. Wait until the investigations come back, there are three investigations coming up. The death of a soldier, death of civilians, and loss of a helicopter. Get the full story, then go postal on what you believe.

Eh. Any father would be pissed and say the same thing- regardless ( I would be too). We all know what we sign up for and not being disrespectful to the father- but he was prior service to. Ours is to do or die- whether we agree or not. Sorry red B.S. flag thrown on this one.
