Maj Marty Hogan
1stSgt Nelson Kerr - subjective term. When I imagine a guy doing this I see Snoopy in his Sopwith Camel with a cigar- gritting his teeth and cursing. That is KINDA badass.

Maj Marty Hogan - Pretty much on target Marty, in fact here is the emblem of the 20th Tactical Air Support Squadron which is certainly on that theme. Often handguns and M16s was it for weapons the launchers on the wing were smoke to mark targets for the fighters. When the enemy saw these O1E and the O2s they knew what they were doing and who they were looking for and what was to follow. The 20th TASS was based at Da Nang which is where I was stationed in 1968-69.

The O-1/2 and Helo drivers were among our bravest of the brave. Well deserved honor.
