I value all opinions, but this is comical to me for two reasons. First, why would anyone want to do this, and think in America this makes sense? Second, I wonder what the press would think if these ideas were proffered about President Obama... Selective memory I guess

That was written by someone who sounds like he's a true ideologue, drank the Koolaid, and is living in a dream world. Most of what he said might be believed by people in gun-restrictive states, but not by the people in middle America who pushed the electoral victory to Trump.
(Not that this has anything directly to do with guns, it's just that the liberal states tend to restrict gun rights).
