Well ain't this some shit. What a liar. He remembers DeSantis? I bet he does, in a pigs eye. Yeah, lawyers were thick as thieves all over the blocks at all the camps at Delta ensuring the discomfort of the detainees. In reality, I never heard of or saw a lawyer come onto the blocks.

There have been so many lies told about the place that no one except those who worked there know what happened.

The media, especially American media, ran with every tale detainees have told about the place, and made up their own tales too.

Americans will believe blindly what they see on any mainstream media over a law abiding citizen...sad state of affairs.

I rarely agree with you when it comes to Gitmo, MAJ Montgomery Granger , but this one time, at least, I do.

This is a shaded hit piece for the sole purpose of attacking (not exposing, attacking) a prominent Republican.

They even deliberately mischaracterizr DeSantis words to say he is lying. In 2022, he said he didn't authorize anything, and he wasn't in a position to authorize anything. But Democray Now (I think I will start calling them a more accurate name - Democrats Always. But I digress.) says "wait! in 2018, he said he advised the Commander on his options and said feeding tube could be an option! Hahaha ha liar liar pants on fire we caught you!!!" (Not an actual quote.)

Except.... he advised the Commander. As in he did not have the power to authorize anything. Exactly like he said. Does Democrats Always care? Not one bit. They are hell bent on trying to dupe the reader. Honesty and truth don't matter.

DeSantis and JAGs in general are not in the medical chain of command, and whether or not to intubate a detainee would be a medical decision, not a legal one. Military have SOP, and I helped write the Gitmo MED SOP, including procedures for hunger strikers. We have no regulations, policies or procedures that allow a detainee to harm themselves, including self-starvation.
