Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi aka Bapu ji opposed caste separation and segregation because he experienced the outcome of such disparity in society when he stood with Nelson Mandela against apartheid in South Africa. Today, in India, there is the Scheduled Caste (SC) and Other Backward Classes (OBC), as well as the General Class of people. Gandhi ji wanted to eliminate class and caste from India, but this task proved too difficult to change. His hunger strikes were intended to send a message of what Bapu ji felt was acceptable or not. Even the British Raj officers wanted to keep Gandhi ji pleased, which eventually proved very costly on the Crown. Bapuji passed to eternal peace during one of such hunger strikes and India got divided along religious lines and this is why Pakistan claims the Kashmir Valley. However, Hyderabad, Moradabad and the other 195 million Islamic citizens of India chose India at the time of Partition in 1947. Kashmir was assessioned to India by Maharaj Hari Singh, who was the grandson of Raja Gulab Singh and Gulab Singh bought Kashmir from the British Crown for a total sum of 75 lakhs of rupees. So, when Hari Singh signed the Letter of Accession of Jammu and Kashmir to India then, Jammu and Kashmir was integrated into India as an autonomous state. After deciding to finish autonomy of J&K for the betterment of the people and create two separate Union Territories of that State then, this is an internal matter of India and, not an external issue to discuss on the international platform. Pakistan and China are hungry to further severe India, but this is not India of the past.
