I don’t know why, but this reminded me of something that my father used to say: “how come there’s always time to do it over when there wasn’t enough time to do it right.

It always takes me several tries to do anything simply because my brain understands things before my hands do.

Politics always bring bad ideas as feasible solutions. Had this been part of a comprehensive HADR plan and stakeholders in it... this would be an effective tool. The clearing house area for arrive should be a nearby port - and customs officers of host nation and stakeholders inspeact cargo and then load it onto ships that move from port to pier and then back for another load. Instead - no one is inspecting the loads coming in and orchestrating arrival based off of critical needs. Not a feasible solution - just a political one that will be abused.
