PO1 William "Chip" Nagel - Same here...but...and it is a big butt, even though all four of my Great Grandparents only spoke Irish when they got here...by the time I grew up...we were far removed from Ireland. Sure we stepped danced, chanted and sang some of the old songs...but man oh man, we think and grew up in very different societies.

SGT Kevin Hughes While there wasn't Much German Spoken when I was Growing Up, I Grew Up in the German American Community of Cincinnati so Some Today would have been Surprised by all the German Terms still in Use at the Time and Still Plenty of Germany Meat and Sausage Available. Now the 2nd Largest Culture/Community in Cincinnati at the Time were the "Irish" "Big Pete" McCarthy Represented Me at "Confirmation".

PO1 William "Chip" Nagel - I grew up just north of you in Cleveland. My dad was president of the Irish American club for 25 years. Strangely enough all my sisters got married in Swiss hall. Lol.

I am so European for sure... By DNA it's almost completely....I'm a decedent of Northern tribes but NOT very much Scandinavian at all.....Finn is another story entirely though, and NW Europe, British Isles.....when I was over there I felt "home"....but now I own land here and it IS home....I LOVE this country....
