Great movie!!!!

Excellent Movie! I remember seeing him on Johnny Carson one night. He was talking about filming this movie, he remarked that numerous times he would drift away from what he was doing and remember his time on Saipan, the battles the people the hell.

Thanks for the share Captain. Toshiro Mifune was great Japanese actor (as was Lee Marvin a great American actor). Back in college I too a course in film appreciation and we had to study
Akira Kurosawa's movie "Rashomon" which examined the nature of truth from three points of view. I believe Paul Newman remade the movie in the early 60s titled "The Outrage". Mifune served in the Japanese Army during WWII.
