Had the pleasure of leading an escort of USS Iowa up the Mississippi on to Avondale Shipyard in the late 80's. Over 100 mile trip with moderate fog and no protestors. I was eager to defend this great ship with my little 41ft utility boat. Also witnessed Iowa in the OpSail '86 parade in NYC.
