You have to blame A Century of the litigation Lobby, pharmaceutical Lobby and Doctor Lobby. Insurance companies are only partly to blame but there are too many political action committees paid for by those three groups I just mentioned to make any meaningful change so yeah still be expensive policies and people will die because law firms make so much money from the crazy punitive damage suits which coincidentally gives the Law Firm half of the settlement!

Chip's, me and you may disagree on climate change and AOC but we both agree that a single-payer healthcare system is the way to go! I live in Canada and my wife had a severe aneurysm that put her in the hospital for 3 weeks. She had experimental medicine given to her she made a full recovery. This happened four years ago exclamation points I think the only expense we had was the ambulance bill and that was paid for by her Indian tribes. I believe had this been in the USA, I would probably have paid 20 or 30 Grand in miscellaneous expenses and deductibles. Three weeks in the Intensive Care Unit! Experimental medication used something that won't be done or allowed in a regular Managed Care System. You may not like President Trump, but you have to drain the swamp of greedy attorneys and law firms, greedy pharmaceutical companies and doctors as well. Alberta has healthcare for everybody. It may not be the best and it may have long Waits but at least the emergency room side of the house, they have top-notch doctors who were available to take care of my wife. She had her aneurysm 4 days before Valentine's Day and they were operating on her within 12 hours of the episode. It took a piece of her skull out and went to the breach and put a mini roach clip. They then put the skull piece back in and the scar line was on the hairline so you can't see it.

LTC (Join to see) Having Lived in London, I Loved being able to just walk into the Emergency Room anywhere, anytime and not worry about much and they Loved Me because I Actually Had Insurance for Me and My Dependents. I just get so Peeved at Morons that Bitch about the "Quality" of care but when compared to No Care and the End Result? OK I Know that Some Surgeries are Delayed because like all things it is always underfunded and they are trying to make it work if it isn't critical and it can wait, you'll wait for the Surgery but it is far better than the Crap we Have Here.
