In Mr. Trump's case his last name is also his brand (which is something I would never do as it attracts lawsuits from people like this seeking to blackmail you). In regards to the settlement amount offered to keep quiet it's very, very small. I would think if she had something concrete it would be in the millions not a few hundred k. Last the fact Trump never signed the contract and his attorney took care of all of it himself tells me potentially Trump knew nothing about the settlement or the negotiation or else he was trying to be overly clever. Both the floozy and the claim only became public once Trump announced his run for President which is also suspicious to me. Why not escalate this earlier while he was still a Private Businessman? Why would you accept the first amount and spend it if you thought it was not acceptable? So all that leads me to believe this is a very weak case and she is trying to use his more public position now to get even more money out of him...........which is a problem when you submit to the first blackmail (it doesn't ever end with a blackmailer when you pay them once). I would even go out on a limb here an say some left wing group is financing her.
