Interesting, but I disagree with the fallacy that governments want citizens dead. Citizens form vote banks that are great during elections; the more the merrier.

Covid-19 has made loads of people panic and react unprecedentedly. A friend of mine, a Veteran of the Indian Army, was attacked by the virus and came close to his last, before his treatment came good. My friend is confirmation that Covid-19 can be treated successfully. However, it is in our hands to take precautions to prevent spread of Covid-19. We must protect ourselves by wearing masks (N95 type); we must maintain social distancing (6ft apart at a minimum) and; we must sanitize regularly. When we get symptoms of Covid-19, to include severe headaches that are persistent, we must seek medical attention with urgency and self-isolate ourselves. India did it successfully, so why can't the U.S. emulate a less mature economy?

I can agree that political leaders can become influenced by pharmaceutical majors, to include Pfizer and Modena. Such influences can undermine the authenticity of vaccines and make them less effective against the virus. Covishield and Covaxin are effective again Covid-19 through to the Delta variant, given precautions are followed properly. Boosters are required to counter Omicron and B.3 or even B.4 mutations.

How does a country like the U.S. prevent the spread of Covid-19 and its variants, especially when people are against wearing masks, social distancing and sanitation?

If governments want us dead, isn't that counter productive to garnering more taxes and distributing those taxes back to get more votes? Not sure I buy into that theory
