Chip, I like in the movie sum of all fears the Navy nuclear first responder that was able to analyze Isotopes from the blast at the stadium and determined that the material came from an Israeli reactor. I'm sure these people do exist cbrn forensic scientist.

PO1 William "Chip" Nagel my sphere of influence is so small that I would hardly be giving anyone any ideas. The only nuclear bomb I drop is after taco bell night.

Nuclear weapons are not worth it. They have to be regularly refurbished and nuclear wastes are impossible to dispose of, and at the costs of millions of dollars. Dollars that could best be used for education, health care and infrastructure.

Sgt Ramon Nacanaynay I agree. They are not worth it. The only real service a nuclear weapon provides is the knowledge that everyone loses equally bad in the end. There is a reason "Mutually Assured Destruction" is a thing. It is because in the event of a nuclear war, you would not want to be one of the survivors. The survivors who deal with a radioactive wasteland, combined with the chill of Nuclear Winter. Just not worth it. They will never save a nation, nor will they grant a nation victory.
