And this is different than 2006-2008 how?
Or whenever there is split between parties in control of congress and the oval office?
Oh wait, I get it!!!
Because it is a GOP controlled House and Senate it is wrong and disruptive, but when it's a DNC controlled Congress it's for the greater good!
Your hypocrisy, bias and partisanship disgusting and is what is truly wrong with the country at this time!!

When did I ever say it was good?
Did you actually read the article?
"For some broader perspective, consider that Republicans have only confirmed 16 judicial nominees since becoming the Senate majority in January 2015. At this same point in President George W. Bush’s eighth year, when Democrats controlled the Senate, 40 judicial nominees had been confirmed."

Got that Right look at what Tea Party Republicans are doing here in Kansas. They want to shut down our State Supreme Court for daring to Uphold the State Constitution and trying to defund the Court for not Towing the Party Line. Republicans that have Gained Complete Control of States have gone Full Fascist. They don't believe in Constitution or Law, They believe in Might Makes Right.

Fascism -- way of organizing a society in which a government ruled by a dictator controls the lives of the people and in which people are not allowed to disagree with the government.
Lets see - the accumulation of power in one individual and more Government control and intrusion into the lives of the citizens. Which tea party have you been going to?

Use of SCOTUS and Federal Court appointments is nothing new. The most egregious was FDR who threatened to pack SCOTUS with new seats filled by his appointees, who would rubber stamp his progressive, liberal, social democracy views regardless of how they fit into the Constitution. Harry Reid - Democrat - from Nevada used exactly the same procedural parlor tricks to stop President Bush's (43) judicial appointments.
I applaud any attempt to keep President Obama from securing his legacy, eroding the Constitution, and accumulating powers to an imperial Presidency. No matter what parlor tricks the Republicans use. They learned from the best, Harry Reid. Reid also use parliamentary tricks to protect Democratic legislators from votes that would have been unpopular with their constituents, and to protect President Obama from unpopular vetoes, even when there was bi-partisan support to bring legislation to a vote.
What is good for the goose is good for the gander.

Heinlein was pretty right wing. The government discussed in the video would probably work as well as any other.
I think what the USMC liked about it was the 'why we fight' parts and the bonding and the culture. Johnnie went through recruit training and OCS.

Capt Walter Miller - I am claiming that FDR threatened and tried to pack SCOTUS. The fact that he failed doesn't mean he didn't threaten and doesn't mean he did not try. If you tell me you are going to punch me, and you take a swing at me, but miss; Did you threaten me or not? Did you try to punch me or not? Where is the half truth?
As to the number of judicial nominations: Do you deny that the Democrats have used procedural rules to stop/delay confirmations? Those tactics, used by both parties, have been used, once again by both parties, to push confirmations beyond the next election cycle, with the hope that they will then be able to force the issue to a particular outcome.
Is it the tool you object to, or the party that uses it? The number of times it is used is irrelevant. Is its use legal or not? If it is not, why with all those lawyers sitting in the Capitol, why has the use of the tool not been challenged in the judicial system?
I do not use ad hominem attacks to try and bolster my arguments. You do use ad hominem attacks. I hope you continue to use them. It tells people more about you, than about the people you insult. If you don't think that is true, look at Mr. Trump.

Your comment is not reality based. He wanted a bill passed in the Congress. It didn't pass. That was it.
At least FDR was willing to govern the country.
