Now that shit WAS funny! I remember one time back in the early 90s, when LTC Husted was a much younger, and much dumber, PFC Husted, and I got maced by the Federales outside of a bar in Juarez....much more enjoyable watching it on here than actually partaking in the festivities!

I made it through boot camp successfully avoiding all volunteer opportunities. Then I let myself go and volunteered for Mail Buoy watch when I got to the fleet a couple years later. You'd think the full MOPP-4 gear would have tipped me off, but...noooooooo!

We were testing FP measures after 9/11 when tons of money was being spent on protection. I was approached (FP Officer at the time) that he wanted to test OC pepper spray in a paintball delivery system... I told my sailors and all of them volunteered. I lined them up in the helo hangar by the closed helo hangar door. It was the only space that we could completely secure ventilation. The tech rep proceeded to shoot them with the OC pepper spray paintball gun. By the time we was done, they had their outlines on the helo hangar door, and the were all writhing on the deck. It was the funniest thing I had ever seen... They never volunteered again after that!
