President Obama reminded me of a 2LT I once knew, a young man who didn't have any experience as a leader and it showed. He didn't trust his subordinates to execute his orders because he didn't trust his own ability to issue clear orders. He didn't trust his subordinates to accomplish a mission because he didn't know how to craft one. Of course, he'd never admit to his own failings. He only see the failings of his subordinates. (That 2LT was me) By the time I became a CPT, I had a better idea of what I was doing. By the time President Obama figured it out he was gone. (Well, to be honest, I don't think he ever figured it out) President Trump, on the other hand, has a long history as an executive. He empowers subordinates. He gives them a mission. If they accomplish their mission, they are rewarded. If not, they're fired.

Perfect. Thank you.
It's perfect because you are speaking from your own perspective. I think if a reasonable percentage of our leaders were able to do a fair job of honest self examination we would find ourselves in a much better place..
One full of grown ups perhaps.... rather than enfants terrible..

President Trump is a wise old buzzard who knows much more about the game than he lets on. I believe people will soon realize what a leader he is hiding behind his crazy tweets and comments, Is he the clown who will emerge as one of our greatest leaders. I guess we will have to wait and see; I am confident we will see this country recover from the disaster of the last eight years. If I am wrong, I will grieve for our magnificent country.

If only I had faith in our commanders. With ships crashing into each other, planes devilering nuclear weapons to the wrong place and the Afghanistan debacle reaching the point when soldiers going there were not born when we went in. Our military command seems as inept as their commander who hears voices
