Alright everyone, calm down before you get too excited. You don’t want to awaken any uncontrollable rage monsters or anything, but we have huge news. There’s a big rumor going around that Marvel Studios has finally regained full control over everyone’s favorite Incredible Hulk, and if true, it could have a major impact on the future of the MCU.
For as long as we can remember, Hulk and Bruce Banner have been regulated to side characters in the MCU, which is a complete shame. But that’s actually not by choice. Up to this point in time, Marvel Studios didn’t have the full rights to the character, making Solo movies starring Mark Ruffalo’s Bruce Banner almost impossible. The history behind Hulk’s film rights is a long and complicated story spanning years, but what’s most important now is the future.
Could we see a new solo Hulk movie in Phase 5 or 6 of the MCU? Those odds just shot up exponentially if this rumor turns out to be true. Today’s video is all about the Incredible Hulk and his history in the MCU so far. Has any character been in as much desperate need for a solo film as the Hulk? We don’t think so, and we’ll explore why a new Hulk would not only be a great thing for the character, but also a wonderful launching pad for things like She-Hulk or the X-Men. So let’s get into it right now and don’t forget to hit that subscribe button for CBR, or else we’ll get angry. And trust us. You won’t like us when we’re angry.
