So he served 2 years during the Nam conflict but never went there and now claims to be a Nam vet...
While he is not 100% incorrect he did serve during the conflict he should not be promoting him self as having the Vietnam campaign ribbon. I don't like people that talk them selves up, the self promoter. Say what you did you served for 2 years were an Airman in Lackland then then got out to do other things. There is no dishonor in that. But to say you put your life on the line and were at the front (or imply you were) brings dishonor on you and your ancestors. Be honest in all things and you will have nothing to regret.
I wanted to be the tip of the Spear as a kid, I wanted to be in the Marines. Due to some medical issues (and an ahole in the White house) I did not get a chance to join up till I was just shy of 30. I ended up in the Navy and I am 100% support for those on the front. Took a while to come to terms that i'm old and slowing down, that I will never be out front. But once I came to terms with that I put my all in to supporting the Men and Women on the front lines. I may not be the tip but I found Honor in being the best support for those that are. I hold my head high in that regards. I wish all those that amplify their service records, or try and take undue credit would come to terms with their station in life. We are not all Operators but we are all one Team and every person plays an important part.

Great comments CPO (Join to see). This guy is nothing. I've had a SSG who was in the Vietnam war, and earned a BS, a PH, and was Airborne Infantry. He was telling anyone who would listen, he was the SF, and was SOG in Vietnam. Now why would he do that with his already great service record? These people amaze me every time I read about them.
