It is tough when you live in a bubble and think the entire world adores all that your husband does and to wake up one day and find all that he has done pretty soundly rejected. The media has been giving them softball coverage for years and allowed the fantasy of greatness to go on and on and on. The media, most of it, was in the same bubble. That is a fundamental problem in this country. Had the media been asking hard questions and applying tough standards her bubble would have been burst long ago. The people would have been better served and perhaps Obama might have done a better job. I know, that last one is a stretch.

Not true! Half the country couldn't wait for Pres. Obama and Michelle to leave the White House, hoped against all odds Trump would win, and delivered a knockout win for Trump. Now we hope that Pres. Elect Trump can "Make America Great Again", deliver on alot of his campaign promises and get us back on the right track! What she really meant to say is the other half of the country will now feel many different levels of depression, as genuine Hope now rules the day!

According to the National Archives website, the next President hasn't officially been elected yet.
"January 6, 2017
"The Congress meets in joint session to count the electoral votes. Congress may pass a law to change this date.
"The Vice President, as President of the Senate, presides over the count and announces the results of the Electoral College vote. The President of the Senate then declares which persons, if any, have been elected President and Vice President of the United States."

It's a strange, strange system we work with, Master Jack...
You said, "...hoped against all odds Trump would win, and delivered a knockout win for Trump."
The latest numbers I've seen give Trump a total of 306 Electoral votes, with 270 necessary to win. That gives him 56.9%, or a 6.9% margin of victory. On the face of it, I would call that a victory, but hardly a "knockout win".
When you consider the numbers of the popular vote: 46.2% for Trump and 48.3% for Hillary, that's a slim LOSS for Trump, not a KO victory.
You said, "Now we hope that Pres. Elect Trump can "Make America Great Again", deliver on a lot of his campaign promises..."
It's beyond ironic that Mr. Trump, now that the election is over, is not only showing that much of what he said on the Campaign Trail he didn't mean ("I don't need to listen to Generals about the ME. I know a lot more about stuff than they do...", and now he's filling his Cabinet positions with more than a couple of retired Generals), he's actually coming out and SAYING it publicly...
"I've been saying it's a rigged system, but now that I've won, I don't care."
At the Thank You Rally in Michigan, when the crowd starts chanting "lock her up!", Mr. Trump says, "That plays great BEFORE the Election. Now, we don't care..."
I expect some amount of hyperbole from the Candidates during the campaigns, with "making nice" with each other after the Election. What I didn't expect was for Mr. Trump, the presumed Victor, to come right out at a rally attended by many of his faithful supporters and say, "Hey, I was lying, what can I say. I was just playing a part, following a script my handlers gave me. I didn't really mean any of what I said because most of what I said I said because that's what you wanted to hear."
Right now, on paper, Mr. Trump will be our next President. I haven't looked deeply into it, but more than a few of the Electors to the Electoral College are not legally bound to vote for the Candidate that won in their State. They can still "vote their conscience" (or whatever), which means someone other than Mr. Trump might still become President. The thought of what might happen across the Country if that happens... Now THAT scares me!

The official U.S. Electoral College web site, providing current information about the presidential election, information about the roles and responsibilities of state officials and Electors, instructions for state officials and Electors, the timeline of key dates for the presidential election, information about laws and legal requirements related to the presidential election and the Electors, and Electoral vote distribution among the states....

Well, now her family will have to pay for their own vacations. I hope they enjoyed their free ride. As of 17 December 2016, the total is roughly at $72,881,504.68. That comes to more than $10 million per year for each year he has been in office. You can buy a lot of hope for that.
