Some of them ,but ones in the end were MATV's, that's what most units ended up using in Afghanistan. I was blown up in Caiman in Iraq Nov, 2010 and just took a shoulder injury and TBI, the gunner took a little hit, our COL and the other two Security guys nothing, we took a direct blast, EFP, but side plates helped. Five months later took another IED, we were going out on a leader engagement, and instead of the MRAP, we took our low profile SUV's up armored and luckily we took them, because we got hit with a complex hit two IED's and two RPG's with AK's, the Viv 2 and 3 were still drivable , so we got off X real quick made it to a IP check point regrouped and RTB back to camp. The thing that saved us was the IED was targeted for MRAP, and SUV's sit lower didn't take full hit and it was a EFP.

We had one hit by IED. All survived, one broken back, all four bleeding from ears, other minor injuries.
