Why have I had an impossible time in both va and bcnr proceedings, getting acknowledgement, of a occupational operational, mishap of injury or illness, connecting the dots “NEXUS” , why a Navy Army transfer was DQ by MEPS, for spine musculoskeletal psych, to deck department on a guided missle frigate?
I barely could walk was in a hospital with a MRI Diagnosed herniations, stenosis, disk degeneration.
Now I can talk about the things I could not talk about then. These pain or confusion or flat out blank state I was in while underway at some points.
There was no medical care. There was no medical review. There was no medical attention before or after the attempted Navy Army Transfer.
No medical care would only make the guy who has a medical issue more ambivalent to his own issues. It does not make him more aware and understanding the connection “NEXUS” between his feelings and his duty assignment, if no medical care is rendered.
Fast forward 15 20 years and you ignore medical issues until you are flat out unable to walk
You go to the va and then then BCNR when the VA denies you, and then both start denying you simultaneously, never once recognizing that ship board duty, in deck department is both hazardous dangerous at times possibly lethal all the time chronically. And you have to be technical alert and all in. That is just touching the surface.
But explaining that to either the VA or BCNR directly seemed to be like a mission from a universe I could not talk with or understand. I was homeless. This battle probably much like vietnam infantry soldiers was going to leave me out and
As I sit at a bar thinking about this I type and wonder why I have a difficult time relating to people
I tell you what. The one thing that saved my ass was inversion table. I can help you understand how to use it if you get one. Anti Gravity is a a force that can decompress injuries an get blood flow and fluids and healing of old dead tissue. Break it up like cement and reset it with good blood flow and nutrients from a better diet.
This process all together has taken 27 years
8 in the enlistment
11 trying to never remember
4 year day in day out battle multpiple denials, for the VA to grant me a homeless housing voucher and other support. BCNR denials happening simultaneously.
I finally got legal support Pro Bono. I was entered into a Amicus Curraie in Monk Vrs Schulkin in Federal Court of Veteran Claims that was trying to make a class action for the worst of the worst claims that were in a never ending loop of denail appeal. The case made an argument for the further damage created by denials in certain cases.
It is ok to acknowledge that some injuries and illness are directly associated and even acknowledged as directly linked by the branches own medical department to certain operational and occupational stressors and duty assignments.
But explaining why you never got medical care and access to the DES LIMDU MEB PEB in service is all on you after the fact
I am lucky to live in the United States because we do have a developed Judicial Branch of Governement that registers Injustice basic human rights and right and wrong. It may take years but t is better then not having no option at all
The Constitution and the honor and pride it develops as you swore an oath to defend it is a great event in human history
