Actually Kentucky has in general voted republican for the last 20 years. The only reason why the current governor won during the last elections was the sitting republican governor got into a fight with the teachers over trying to reform the pension plan and said some really stupid things that came back to haunt him during the election. Since the 2000's they have elected 2 democrats and 2 republicans and republicans have controlled the legislature even before that, plus this state has gone republican in the last several presidential races. Which is why the democrats are pouring millions and millions into this governors race hoping to keep a democrat figure head in the governors mansion.

I will say one thing about this election, I don't think the Teachers Union will have near the clout as they have in the past. The school closures didn't set well with a lot of parents and the decrease in test scores that resulted just added to it.

CPT Lawrence Cable - Cameron has been smarter and actually touted a plan to help students catch up since most are now behind with all the closures and such. Will be interesting to see how this plays out Tuesday.

Rick, this state hasn't had a Democratic Congress in years, all of Kentucky's Congressmen except one are Republican and both of our Senators. Practically the only office that the Democrats have won in years is the Governorship. I hope that changes this year.
A lot of very stupid people (sorry, my opinion) will vote for Brashear because he was on TV every freaking day of Covid. They ignore just how much stupidity went on, closing businesses and churches, furloughing most of the unemployment staff just before he put 300,000 people on the program. First time I collected unemployment since Ronald Reagan and it took me 11 weeks to get the first check. Allowed teachers to dictate school closings and just about every other stupid thing that happened in the country, he did it too.
Same campaign as always, the Republicans are going to take your medicaid and disability, take money from the public schools and you won't be able to get an abortion if you get knocked up by Uncle Bob.
The big problem here is an EXTREMELY liberal Supreme Court,

What gets me is how Brashear has taken credit for things he opposed, like cutting the state income tax etc.

SSG (Join to see) - And that all the jobs that he cost during the shutdown coming back is the one the bugs me the most. No, his I'm a honest and godly man spot makes me want to throwup.
