Let's stop calling it a Muslim ban. It is not a Muslim ban. Just stop it.

There are about 50 nations that have Muslim majorities. Seven of those states have been targeted by the executive order. Six of those states were identified by the intelligence community under the Obama administration as failed states, that are hot beds for training terrorists who follow an extreme and violent Islamic based ideology. The seventh state is Iran, the most active state sponsor of Terrorism, (Islamic based or not) in the world. The ban does not apply to any Muslim coming from anywhere else in the world.

President Trump is not satisfied that the vetting process sufficiently mitigates the risk associated with accepting people leaving the region. Accordingly he has stated through an executive order, how he expects the executive branch to carryout its responsibility to protect the American people. The ban is geographically and threat assessment based.

There is no religious test, as the ban applies to people of all faiths, races, and ethnicities. The ban is temporary. Additionally, the executive order provides mechanisms for the appropriate officials to intervene in individual cases. If we must put a label on it I choose the "Let's get our vetting ducks in a row" immigration policy.

Bombastic governing measures. If he was so concerned about ISIS infiltrating refugees he should've done his research and worked with the outgoing administration to identify ways to improve the vetting process. BUT he probably didn't think he was going to win the election hence the clusterfuck that is his administration. He's winging it. Whether he calls it a ban or purple unicorn his intent is to keep Muslims out.

SSG (Join to see) - There are roughly 2.1 Billion Muslims world wide. In the affected countries:
21 million Syria
75 Million Iran
31 Million Iraq
9 Million Somalia
39 Million Sudan
24 Million Yemen
6 Million Libya
205 Million total

So his policy applies to that fraction of 205 million that want to emigrate to the US. If 100% of them wanted to emigrate to the US (I doubt it). The policy would apply to about 10% of Muslims. Since the actual quota set by the Obama administration was 75,000. The actual percent affected is 0.004% of the world Muslim population.

Please explain the other 40+ Muslim majority nations and 1.9 Billion Muslims that are not affected by this executive order and the Muslims who come from the roughly 100+ non-Muslim majority nations.

A couple things that seem to be confused these days is Rights and Privileges. Too many on the left confuse these as they confuse the difference between wants and needs.
