I found out while in the Army I had dyslexia and that it was an extremely rare form that could be handed down to other generations. Started them a year late and got them tested early helped!

I've always wondered how much of this longstanding trend to earlier and earlier school attendance has to do with educational empire building. If a superintendent has control of a bigger budget, he can ask for a higher, commensurate wage, and so on right down the line.
