I know this for a fact. There are several people who told me they are not applying for any job that is less than the unemployment amount until it expires. There are lots of jobs to apply for to keep the unemployment check even though the likelihood is that they won't qualify for them. There are always ways to game the system when you want to.

Many people said this would happen when they added the extra $600 to unemployment. If someone can make more sitting at home on the couch than out working one can hardly blame them for not being too motivated to go back to work. That’s just human nature.
