This is good that the court is now enforcing protections for soldier disability pay.

It is disgusting how much money a cheating, dishonest, gold digging ex spouse can extort from a retired service member. The USFSPA needs to be rewritten to protect ALL service members.

I think they have updated some laws 1SG Tommy McGee, I know one law said they had to be married for 7 years or more, depending on circumstances. Not sure the exact details. But yes, I have seen a lot of woman and men taking advantage of there spouses military and VA benefits. Discusting doesn’t even give it justice.

I'm wondering how the housing works during divorce or separation of a long term relationship if you get a house together and you use your VA benefits.
I saw something on here about it a while back but can't seem to find it. But how would get there name off the loan without refinancing? Especially if they had no financial contributions.

SFC (Join to see), you can get your name off by filing a quit claim or by refinancing, from my experience.
