SP5 Mark Kuzinski Thanks for sharing - sorry I'm running behind (633 emails to go). Never leave RP for an extended period of time - LOL!

SP5 Mark Kuzinski , how many presidents have "promised" an end to something that arguably should never have been begun? I vividly remember the events at Kent state and many comments that were televised regarding our presence. We weren't welcome there and not welcomed back home. Let me have the honor: Welcome home to all the Vets that were in Vietnam and Cambodia. I am glad you survived and saddened by the number of those who did not,

Thanks SP5 Mark Kuzinski for reminding us about the days before sound bites caught hold and news actually tried to cover events including President Richard Nixon's televised speech claimed the Allied drive into Cambodia was the “most successful operation of this long and difficult war,” and that he would now be able to resume the withdrawal of U.S. troops from South Vietnam which had been hammered out in Paris.
Those were very different days.
