Why would nuclear power plants be hurting from natural gas. Are they the same thing or different?

SPC (Join to see) Both are "Steam" Plants that is True but the Method of Heating the Steam is Different, Natural Gas uses Just that Natural Gas to heat a Single Closed Loop Steam System that Feeds the Turbines. Nuclear uses the Heat Produced by the splitting of atoms (Highly Radioactive) to Heat One Closed Loop System that is Close Proximity to another Closed Loop System the Heat from One System is Transferred to the other System and the Steam Produced in the Second System Powers the Turbines. Because of the Safety and Security Needs of Radioactive Material it is no longer Cost Effective competing with Natural Gas.

That's interesting but we still have to open up the Harry Reid nuclear depository in Nevada since 16 billion dollars was wasted and President Obama being a social justice Warrior shut it down

The Yucca Mountain nuclear waste dump, a political hot potato, is back
The White House's budget blueprint revives spending for a hotly contested facility in Nevada that would store the nation's nuclear waste.

PO1 William "Chip" Nagel - I don't agree and I'm sure you don't agree with a lot of things about our president but if he does that open the depository I don't care what the Green Party or anybody says it's the right thing to do and you as being a spook no it's The Prudent thing to do with mitigated risk instead of leaving all the nuclear waste on the side of the nuclear power plants and those not so secure pools period we're not going to have a space 1999 scenario. LOL
